Dr. Linda Portlock
Dr. Linda Portlock serves as the Deputy Superintendent for the Chester Community Charter School. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of education. During Dr. Portlock’s tenure as an educator, she has held the positions of classroom teacher, Supervisor of Student Services, Principal and Acting Superintendent.
In her current role as Deputy Superintendent of CCCS, Dr. Portlock oversees elementary and middle school programs, student services, curriculum and instruction. She also oversees instructional technology services for the curriculum, an integral part of CCCS. Her deep-rooted commitment to public education has guided her career and led her to the position she currently holds. Dr. Portlock believes that all students should have access to quality educational programs, highly qualified teachers, a nurturing and caring environment, and a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
Dr. Portlock earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Cheyney University, her Master’s Degree from Penn State University and her Doctoral Degree from Temple University. She also has post-doctoral certifications from Widener University.
